Ministries that Serve our Community
Reaching Out to Those in Need
Trinity has embraced Christ's command to give aid to our neighbor, especially those in serious need. Service of this sort is especially satisfying and spiritually strengthening.
Pastoral Care Commission
Under the leadership of our Associate Rector, Fr. Fred Heard, the Pastoral Care Commission coordinates a suite of ministries aimed at improving communications and providing emotional and spiritual support to those who are homebound or in care facilities, and to their caregivers.
Our culture discourages people from sharing their spiritual and personal needs, even with our clergy. Sharing burdens spreads the load and brings resources to help carry the load. Among the Pastoral Care ministries at Trinity are, The Lay Eucharistic Ministers, The Prayer Circle, The Visiting Ours, and The Healing Ministry. Healthing prayers can also be arranged at the altar on Sunday (contact the clergy.)
Sharing burdens makes the load lighter both for those who tell their stories and those who listen and act on their behalf. If you feel called to colunteer your administrative skills or your caring hands and heart, God bless you. Please contact Father Fred Heard or the Rev. Anne Jensen at 326-2083, or Violet Lyon, Pastoral Care Commission Chair.
If you are aware of parishioners with unmet spiritual or other personal needs, please contact a member of the clergy. Your Pastoral Care Commission is at your service, please don't heditate to call us.
Prayer Circle Ministry
The Prayer Circle prays for people in our parish, their family and friends, for the community and beyond. Prayers are offered for strength, healing of the body, mind, and spirit. We pray for everyone from the very ill, to the lonely and the hungry, for losses and addictions, for safe travel and peace of mind, and much more.
