Trinity Book Club

Episcopalians in general, and Trinity parishioners in particular, are enthusiastic readers. Naturally, spiritual subjects are an important part of our reading, and the Trinity Book Club is one way we share our studies.

The group is very informal, drop in to any meeting and join the conversation, even if you have not read the book for the mointh, we're eager to have you involved!

Usually we meet on the first Thursday of the month, but do confirm the schedule on this site or by calling the church office.

"War in Heaven"
by Charles Williams

Club members were looking for a good "summer book" to fill the remaining weeks of August, and found one in this classic by Charles Williams. Williams was one of the famed "Inklings".

"War In Heaven" concerns the Holy Grail, much like that other big seller a few year's back, but is reportedly more solid on its spiritual basis and also more exciting. One reviewer described it as," a supernatural thriller that is sort of a detective novel, kind of a suspense novel, in a way about relationships, about self-growth, spiritual search and discovery, but not in a traditional sense." Sounds fun!

We'll meet to discuss the book in September. Join us for this fun and scary adventure!

"Orthodoxy"
by G.K. Chesterton

"A History of God"
by Karen Armstrong
