Parish Ministries

Music Ministry

The Trinity Parish Music Department provides music for the 10:30 am Sunday worship service, as well as music for Christmas, Easter, and other feasts and special services. With parish volunteers who rehearse and then provide music for our services, our worship is greatly enhanced.

Anyone with musical ability would be happily welcomed and made a part of the family as a member of the choir or bell choir.

Should you ask any member of the music team at Trinity why they have joined, you will surely hear these answers in their list:

  • making music in the service heightens personal prayer and increases one's satisfaction in attending church,
  • providing music is a service that is necessary to the health of the parish,
  • and... it's lots of FUN!!

If you’d like to explore joining one of our choirs, contact Michael Taylor at 365-3159 or Michèle Sharik at 504-0519.

Music Ministry Programs

Senior Choir
Senior Choir

The Senior Choir provides seasonal choral music and leads the singing of the service music to enhance the worship at Trinity. The choir continues to grow and develop as a musical/liturgical organization, while serving as a model 'small' group, fostering fellowship, support, and a caring atmosphere.

The choir usually closes shop after Trinity Sunday, and we begin rehearsals again in late August, returning to church for Homecoming in September. We take the Thursday and Sunday after Christmas and Easter off.

Meets: Senior Choir practices Thursday evenings 7:30 to 9:00 p.m. weekly and again on Sunday morning at 9 A. M., in music rehearsal room in Angus Hall

Trinity Ringers

Handbells

Trinity's Handbell Choir, the Trinity Ringers, was born in September 1998, made possible by a desire to involve more parishioners into the music program and a generous gift from Mary Pless, in memory of her sister, Evie Ferguson.

In addition to that gift, another octave of bells has been purchased in honor of several parishioner's family members. There are 11 regular bell ringers and several substitutes that participate in the choir.

Meets: Wednesday evenings from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., break for summer and starts up again in the fall, probably Wednesday, September 5, 2006.
