Women of Trinity

Women of Trinity

All women who belong to Trinity are considered members of Women of Trinity. Women of Trinity seek to advocate, educate, and give voice to issues of critical importance for women, and work to incorporate new women into the life of the parish

Women of Trinity

A wonderful offshoot of our group began in 2005. The Saturday Morning Breakfast Club reads and discusses books primarily related to the spiritual journeys of women.

The Women of Trinity usually schedule a monthly potluck dinner with a program. In the past these programs included a series in which women of the parish shared their particular talents. These dinners provide opportunity for both social and spiritual development.

Women of Trinity

The group also engages in outreach projects to help those in need. In 2004 we cooked and served the first Sunday supper at Clara Mateo/Urban Ministry in Menlo Park.

In 2005 we organized and hosted the annual “Giving Tree”, holiday present collection. In January 2006 we made three fleece blankets, for the second year in a row, for residents of Clara Mateo Shelter in Menlo Park.

Women of Trinity - Prayer Shawl Ministry

July 10, 2008

Have you ever been in a sewing circle, a quilting bee or a book club? Then you know how satisfying it can be to gather together with a project in hand for conversation and community! Are you looking for a ministry of prayer and care for others? How about joining our Prayer Shawl Ministry and finding a chance for both conversation and caring for others? Support + Friendship + Prayer On Thursday, June 12 and July 10, from 5:30–7 pm, anyone of any age who is interested is invited to come to Frannie’s home at 1467 Hamilton Avenue, Palo Alto, to create prayer shawls and be a part of a new prayer shawl ministry at Trinity. Hundreds of people from churches and in communities around the world are meeting and making prayer shawls. They may choose to knit them or to crochet them. They may be experts or beginners. They create prayer shawls as a way to reach out with love and care to others who are hurting or who may need a special blessing, and as a way to gather with others to tell stories and connect! It will be very informal. Bring your own materials. We will supply wine, water and light snacks and best of all great company! We’ll start with once a month and see where we go from there. You can go to the following link for info about patterns and materials. For more info e-mail Frannie Hall Kieschnick at revfhk@aol.com or call 650-289-9866.

Women's Retreat

January 05, 2007

A Sacred Voice is calling! We often forget why we are here. We so easily place our attention on the demands of the day. We lose track of the Sacred Voice of Calling as the different chapters of our life unfold. Give yourself a special gift this Christmas! Or ask someone special to give it to you! Join Women of Trinity and our facilitator Mary Ruth Quinn as we use scripture, prayer, quiet, conversation and ritual to deepen our understanding of the unique role each of us plays in creating heaven on earth. Insights into calling via the Enneagram will be facilitated by Jane Tight. Our hope is that you will leave this weekend centered, renewed and reunited with the Sacred Voice that calls to us in different ways and in different direction in different chapters of our life. Dates:Friday evening Jan 5-Sunday morning Jan. 7, 2007. Cost for the weekend: Single Room + Friday dinner through Sunday lunch = $250 Double Room + Friday dinner through Sunday lunch = $200 All rooms have private baths. We hope you can choose one of these options, if you need to commute, the cost is $125 for meals. Scholarships will be made available. If you can help us with scholarships we would be most grateful. No one will be turned away! All are welcome, whatever their relationship to Trinity! We are deeply blessed to have BOTH Mary Ruth Quinn and Jane Tight! This is an opportunity for YOU you don't want to miss! For questions or to sign up please contact the Rev. Frannie Hall Kieschnick at 650-289-9866 or revfhk@aol.com
