October 27 - Harvest Festival
Please join us in the Courtyard after the 10 am service for our annual pre-Halloween event is a celebration of fall with food and fun for all ages. Children are invited to wear their Halloween costumes, if they wish.
November 3 - All Saints' Sunday
All Saints is an occastion to remember those who have died, and to remember that we continue to be connected with those who have gone before us through the love and grace of God. We will offer prayers for those in the congregation who have died since last All Saints Day, as well as those whom members of the congregation with to have remembered. The choir will offer special music at the 10 am service.
November 3 - Reclaiming Eden Event - Sustain Island Home Workshop
Please join Josie and Nancy in Angus Hall for our upcoming "Sustain Island Home Workshop". Josie will be moderating a discussion about what changes people are making, what information they need, and how we can support one another in taking our “six steps.” Nancy will offer a workshop to get people started on, or reconnect with, the carbon tracker. Bring your Hospitality treats and join us!
November 8 - OWLS Program
Please join us on Friday, November 8 for another interesting look into historical events, told enchantingly by our own parishioner Dave Beach. This year, Dave is “taking us” to Ireland! His topic will be a talk about a new book entitled SAY NOTHING, a true story of religion, murder and memory in Northern Ireland. Once again, this will be a presentation you won’t want to miss! Dave is always an entertaining and informative speaker when he comes to OWLS! If you can attend, please call Alecia in the Church Office at 326-2083, ext. 2 or email firstname.lastname@example.org to let her know you will join us for lunch. We need to have your RSVP so we have enough food for all the attendees. Guests are always welcome and encouraged! Just let Alecia know. There will not be a program in December, but hold JANUARY 10, 2020 open for our MATINEE MOVIE DAY, showing the film "Green Book"!
November 10 - Reclaiming Eden Event with Guest Speaker Matthew Sleeth
Matthew Sleeth will be our guest preacher at the 10 am service and a talk after service in Trinity Hall. He is the author of Reforesting Faith: What Trees Teach Us About the Nature of God and His Love for Us. Dr. Sleeth will be with us as part of our ongoing Reclaiming Eden theme as we seek to be better stewards of creation and do what we can to address the crisis of climate change in our world.
November 30 - Rev. Aaron's Priesthood Ordination
Rev. Aaron's bishop has given his consent for Aaron to be ordained a priest by our Bishop Marc at the Diocese of California's Fall Ordinations which will take place at Grace Cathedral on Saturday, November 30 (exact time has not yet been announced). This ordination will mark the completion of Aaron's journey into ordained ministry, and means that Aaron will preside at the Eucharist for the first time on Sunday, December 1. Also, Trinity will celebrate Rev. Aaron’s ordination after the 10:00am service.
December 8 - St. Nicholas and the Advent Festival
St. Nicholas will visit Trinity at both our services to tell us his story and how it connects to the celebration of Christmas. We will gather in Trinity Hall following the 10 am service for our Advent Festival, a time of learning about and making Advent Wreaths, enjoying good food and fellowship, and singing some Christmas songs to get us in the holiday spirit.
December 15 - Lessons and Carols
Please join us for Trinity's Annual Advent Service of Lessons and Carols at the 10 am service. Lessons and Carols means that there is no Communion or Sermon at 10 am. The service is designed to highlight the themes of the Advent season as they echo through the Hebrew Bible, in particular, as well as portions of the New Testament. Each reading is paired with an anthem or hymn, and the service begins and ends in prayer. I hope you will be able to join us for this annual tradition. Please note that the 8 am service will include Communion and Sermon as usual.
December 15 - Blue Christmas Service in the Chapel
This service will take place at 5:00 pm, and provides a space for those who find the holidays to be a difficult time, and for those who want a quiet, contemplative space in the midst of the rush toward Christmas. Join with others in the Chapel for prayers, music, and healing.

January 5, 2020 - Annual Healing Service
On Sunday, January 5 Trinity will have it's annual Healing Service for the beginning of the year at our 10 am service. The service includes a Homily and Communion, but also invites those who wish to receive the laying on of hands with prayer and anointing with oil for healing. It is a ritual that is not only about healing whatever in us needs to be healed, but also for praying for the healing of the world and those who our on our hearts and in our love. Doing this near the beginning of the year also reflects our hope and prayer that the year to come may be a season of healing for all. Our 8 am service will not include the rite of healing.
January 12 - Family Skate Night
The youth group and the children and family ministries will partner for the third time to host a skating event at Winter Lodge at 3009 Middlefield Rd, Palo Alto from 5:30-7:30pm. Everyone is invited. Admission is $12 per person. Skate rentals are an additional $5. Gloves and helmets are recommended for all skaters. Children under 4 years must skate with an adult. Strollers (for parents to push babies in) are allowed on the ice during our session. Pizza will be served.
January 26 - Annual Parish Meeting
Trinity Community please join us on Sunday, January 26, for our Annual Parish Meeting which will be held following the 10:00 am service over lunch in Trinity Hall. The Annual Meeting is a time to review a bit about the last year, including a sharing of the 2019 financial results. We will also take the opportunity to look forward to some highlights coming up in 2020, including the 2020 budget. Above all, it is a time to give thanks to God for the life we share together as a part of this amazing Trinity community. We will have extended childcare as well as children's activities in Angus Hall, and the meeting will end no later than 1 pm.
