Beth Foote Biography
“Glory to God, whose power working in us, can do infinitely more than we can ask or imagine; Glory to him from generation to generation in the Church, and in Christ Jesus for ever and ever. Amen”(Ephesians 3:20)
Raising three children with my husband Hale has been a school for love and faith, teaching me that we are all interconnected as God’s children, and that Jesus calls us into ministry through our relationships with others. I believe the Church is a counter-cultural force for good in our increasingly self-centered society. Where else these days do people from all generations and walks of life meet to support and challenge each other in community? Together, we gather at the Eucharist to become the Body of Christ and go out into the world to be ministers of God’s grace and transformation.
Our Christian journey begins in the cleansing waters of baptism, often when we are infants, and it takes a lifetime to grow into the mature faith of our Baptismal Covenant. I see my ministry as nurturing lifelong faith formation through being an educator, preacher, lover and interpreter of scripture, and a priest of the Sacraments, refreshing the baptized with the living water of the Gospel and inviting newcomers into the font of new life in Christ.
